Supreme Court likely for Wild brothers

By PETER DOUGLAS

A SUPREME Court date is possible for three brothers accused of the rape of a girl, 14, last year in Geelong.
Kevin Andrew Wild, 29, from Olinda, and Allan Mark Wild, 30, from Mount Evelyn, appeared on the morning of Wednesday, 22 June, for a brief hearing.
Brodie Wild, 21, appeared via videolink from Queensland.
Prosecutors have filed an application in a lower court to have the case moved to the Supreme Court, which handles the most serious criminal cases in Victoria.
The case is expected to be brought before the Supreme Court, with a new trial date likely to be fixed in the coming weeks.
Earlier this month, new charges were laid against three of the four brothers who had been accused, with brother Rowan Wild having all charges dropped against him in February.
Kevin Wild faces 16 charges, with Brodie and Allan Wild facing 11 charges each.
The charges include abduction and multiple counts of rape.
